With summer vacation coming to an end, families in our community and all across the country are scrambling to get their kids ready for a new school year. That means shopping for school supplies, backpacks, clothes, and more.
But there’s something else the arrival of a new school year signals—it’s time to bring your child in for a back-to-school dental visit.
Because once school has started, time will become a much more precious commodity. When you combine your schedule with your child’s—which can include homework, projects, tests, extra credit, etc—finding the time to bring your child to our Mt. Pleasant dental office can be hard. Better to get it done now, while you more time.
But there’s another reason that back-to-school dental visits are so important, aside from saving you time later. Back-to-school dental visits give Dr. Hogan a chance to check on your child’s smile. That means looking for common problems like tooth decay and gum disease. It also means completing a professional cleaning to help your child get his or her smile at its cleanest.
By doing all of this before school starts, or within your child’s first month back, it’s also easier to squeeze in any return appointments that might be necessary. During your child’s return visit, we’ll address anything we need to using our comprehensive general, cosmetic, and restorative dentistry services.
Do you still need to bring your child in for a back-to-school dental visit? Call Dr. Hogan’s office today. We serve patients from Mt. Pleasant, Isle of Palms, Sullivan’s Island, Daniel Island, and West Ashley.
