At our office we utilize digital x-rays and an intraoral camera to provide accurate diagnosis of dental issues as well as keeping you informed and involved in your own treatment.

Gum disease has been linked to a variety of health complications including heart disease and low birth-weight babies. Until now the majority of the treatment options available were invasive and painful. Laser dentistry is minimally invasive and does not require the cutting or stitching of the gums!
LANAP® laser gum therapy gives us the ability to possibly save loose teeth that would have needed to be removed otherwise. These revolutionary lasers allow us to effectively remove bacteria.
The Diode Laser is a soft tissue laser that is universally accepted as a tremendous adjunct to soft tissue therapies. This laser provides our office with an extremely precise method for manipulating oral tissues and treating a number of soft tissue issues. The diode is a safe and typically pain free treatment method that can increase healing time and reduce post-operative pain.
DIAGNOdent is a revolutionary way to detect and find cavities. DIAGNOdent uses a laser diode to inspect the patient’s teeth. The light-emitting device is shined on the teeth and then gives a digital readout the dentist is able to use to detect decay. In fact, the DIAGNOdent laser is able to identify the tiniest bit of tooth decay before it becomes a major problem. Detecting decay early means that fillings can be shallower and simpler and more of the tooth structure can be preserved. And, because DIAGNOdent uses only light energy, not x-rays, it’s safe to use at each office visit.
This unit delivers controlled, periodic, bilateral electrical stimulation to help provide muscle relaxation, increased blood circulation and increased range of motion.
Piezo Scalers allow us to perform better cleaning with less tissue trauma. They are very efficient and excellent for stain removal.
A state of the art machine used to spot check or continually monitor oxygen levels, blood pressure and heart rate.
We employ sophisticated, state of the art diagnostic techniques to treat neuromuscular issues.
Dr. Hogan employs a wide range of procedures to create a personalized treatment plan for each patient.
Digital x-rays allow Dr. Hogan to provide an even more accurate and usually earlier diagnosis than conventional x-ray film has been able to offer in the past. Using a digital sensor allows us to instantly project the image on a computer screen and enhance the image. It also allows you to be a part of your diagnosis and see clearly what treatment is needed and why. Another benefit of digital x-rays is that the amount of radiation you are exposed to is reduced by 90 percent.
Intraoral cameras are not much bigger than a pen and are equipped with a camera and a light. Dr. Hogan can take a close up picture of your teeth and gums in any area of your mouth, even the very back and hard to see places. The picture (or video feed) is instantly up on a screen for you and Dr. Hogan to see. Many patients have a hard time understanding why they might need treatment on a tooth that does not hurt or that they cannot see properly. Hard to read x-rays or a long description by the dentist does not usually help either. Intraoral cameras allow you and Dr. Hogan to clearly see what your dental issue is and can help you understand why you need treatment.
Dr. Hogan proudly uses the Vatech PaX-i3D imaging system, to provide premium diagnostic images with an ultra low x-ray dose. The Green CBCT can capture high-quality images in less than 6 seconds, and with little radiation exposure. This system allows us to see detailed images of your facial structure to better diagnose and treat complex dental cases, through a safe and comfortable process.
